An attempt to bring my car hobby and decor under one roof. It started in 2019, after the BMW e30 table and lamp were shown to the wider public.
For a long time I was amazed at what epoxy resin can do in interior design, and at the same time shocked by how much of what was made with it was hopelessly tacky. Following my usual “if you criticize, offer something better” approach, I got hooked on designing decor objects.
There were 3 directions / collections.

Stump Glow. Everything to do with wood and resin. The boring stuff: oak tables and candle holders made of wood chips and resin. The fun stuff: coasters and lamps with a burning effect (the ash was recreated with paint). I had more complex objects in mind, with pressure sensors, steam generators and so on, but the plans stayed plans.

Holy Concrete. Massive pieces made of concrete, resin and, again, wood. Mostly concrete lamps with experimental cement and gypsum mixes. In the end I found the right mix for making strong small forms.

Table. The idea was to start producing tables and wine racks from unwanted engine blocks, plus furniture from car parts. On top of that, a lamp made from BMW e30 tail lights, with a hood and a painted body, was already hanging on the wall (all the bulbs exactly mirrored the factory lighting and blinking modes, with the right intervals and remote control).
The project was going well: Instagram, an article on The Village, demand for the lamps (the plan was to start selling them, with part of the profit donated to homeless animals). That’s what they call business with pleasure.
Status today: on pause due to emigration. The urge to make interesting things hasn’t gone anywhere, but for that you need at least a garage.
UPD: the project is coming back soon under a new name — https://woodzeek.com/
